Song of the Appendix

I sit here now, I can not walk
Yet about my story I must talk
It started some time Friday night
When my stomach hurt, 'twas no delight
The whole next day I lied in bed
"There is no peace in my gut" I said
Round six o'clock I think it was
I made my way through the city buzz
And stopped inside the emergency room
A solemn place of constant gloom
The doctor came and looked at me
Then placed his hands on my tummy
He smiled and said "It's sure enough"
I nodded back and acted tough
Appendicitis was the causation
The surgery room my destination
With an IV in for rehydration
And a gurney for my transportation
They prepped me for the operation
That would remove the inflammation
What happened next is hard to tell
I woke up feeling pretty swell
And since then I have recovered
No more problems were discovered
They sent me home, that's where I am
Instead of taking my exams

  1. yes indeed you missed your exams....how are you gonna fix that? do you get to take them after you come back? hmmmm interesting. anyhoo i hope you feel better, bryan told me about all this and i must say you were quite silly to be taken in by appendicitis. don't fall for its tricks.

  2. Hi Tanner, you are such a clever and funny guy! I need to get your address as your littlest big fan has made something for you that we would like to drop in the mail :)
It was great seeing you at grandma's! Good luck with your exams :)

  3. Tanner! Sorry about the misunderstanding at Grandma’s Christmas party. You know how rumors get started and by the time the news came to me about your procedure, it was that you had one of your testical’s removed. I was relieved when you informed me that both were still intact. Ha ha! They say that the appendix pain can best be compared to having a baby….so…. what does that feel like again….?
    Later days and better ways.

  4. Tanner, that was a good story. I am at the library and the man sitting across from me has sneezed TEN TIMES (not in a row, just at random)! It scares me everytime. Anyways, exams are over-rated, and it is okay that you didn't go to them.

  6. More brilliant rhyming!

    These are such wonderful lyrics.
Would you object if I made it into a song? Like.. with music?
    I"m so sorely tempted.

I miss you! Keep posting these things so I can get some insight into your life. =]
